After producing the feature documentary, Gwapa (Beautiful), we became enchanted with the spirit of Pitogo Island, a tiny remote island off the coast of Bohol, and created lasting friendships with the families there. Pitogo Island is very remote and getting necessary supplies is challenging. Many children eat only rice and don’t have shoes or pants to wear to school.
